I started writing a roundup post with the best keto instant pot recipes. I planned to mention a few popular cookbooks but then realized the article would get too long and decided to write a separate post about instant pot keto cookbooks.

 

Many of my favorite food bloggers are publishing printed and kindle recipe books.

Generally, you’ll also be able to find a fair number of their recipes on their websites.

So, if you are looking for the odd recipe, check out their websites. You probably don’t need to buy their books.

But:

If you are a “cookbook person,” you’ll love these books, and you can still enjoy the additional information on their websites.

So get the printed book for your kitchen, and when you want to know more or get more photos of the dishes or more prepping and serving tips, head over to their websites.

I generally like cookbooks because they are printed, there are a limited number of recipes, and each one is usually contained on one easy-to-read page.

The recipes have been developed by Urvashi Pitre from Two Sleevers.

She has written several cookbooks, and this is her second cookbook covering pressure cooking.

Her first one is – Indian Instant Pot Cookbook: Traditional Indian Dishes Made Easy and Fast. It is not LCHF, but she has converted and included some of her Indian cuisines in her cookbook.

It includes 75 tried-and-true recipes. 65 of these will take less than 45 minutes from start to finish.

You get nutritional information for each one. Most of the dishes have less than 10 net grams of carbs per serving, with some going up to 12 grams.

It covers a wide range of ingredients from, eggs and vegetables, soups, seafood and poultry, beef and pork, desserts, and keto kitchen staples. She also includes ideas from all across the world.

Like most keto diet books, it starts with a brief intro about keto, macros, and myths.

Then she introduces cooking keto in a pressure cooker and then digs into what you need to know to cook keto dishes with an instant pot.

She is very clear about the “real-time” it takes to cook with an instant pot, detailing the time for each prepping and cooking process.

It is available as a paperback and on kindle.

She starts the book by sharing her story about how food changed her life.

She talks a little about keto ingredients and shares tips for using your instant pot for maximum effect.

The recipe book includes 130 delicious recipes from breakfasts, appetizers, sides, soups, main courses, desserts, and drinks.

He then shares about a hundred simple recipes, with the nutritional information, ingredient list, and simple steps to prepare the dishes.

It was written by Sam Taylor and is now only available in paperback.

What to Look for in a Good LCHF Kindle Recipe Book

There are lots of 0.99 to $3.99 kindle books on this subject. But they are not all good. Check for the following before you buy a recipe book.

Before I buy any recipe book, I look inside.

Personally, I get irritated with a poorly written book with spelling errors

So, if I find those, I don’t necessarily think it is bad, but I know it will frustrate me. I don’t look for perfect English. After all, English is not my first language, but it needs to make grammatical sense.

 

Then I look at the recipes.

  • Do the ingredients make sense, and are they listed in some logical sequence?
  • Do the steps to prepare the dish make sense?

 

Do I like the idea of the recipes that are visible in the preview? I like simple cooking, so I like easy recipes, but I still want to see a personality or something special coming through in the dishes.

Do the recipes include net carbs and other nutritional information?

Are the ingredients visible in the preview ketogenic friendly?

When I find non-keto ingredients like potatoes in a keto cookbook, I assume that the writer does not follow a keto lifestyle similar to mine. And I won’t buy it.

Are they LCHF (low carb, high fat) and not just high protein? Not every meal I make has to be low carb, high fat, and moderate protein, but it becomes tough to maintain my macros if too many of my meals are high protein.

 

Lastly, I check the author page to see what other books they have published.
